Summary

Job Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for the development and delivery of projects in the most cost-effective manner, demonstrating 'value for money'. The person will identify and procure the services of specialist designers and contractors as required. The position will be based in and around the RM Condor area and may be tasked with delivering projects at Leuchars Station and the wider Scotland region if demand dictates. The successful candidate will need to undertake security BPSS prior to commencing the role and be required to achieve Security Clearance (SC level).

Main Duties:

Develops, in conjunction with the Project Sponsor, the scope of the project.Ensures that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality & regulatory standardsEnsures the project is effectively resourced and manages relationships with a wide range of groupsRisk analysisLiaise daily with the line manager.Liaise daily with internal Commercial team to manage Project financesManaging project scope and change control.Monitor & Report project progress and performance.Knowledge and understanding of the CDM regulations What we are looking for:

Must have nature to represent Mitie with professionalism, integrity and honesty at all times.Substantial experience of the full life cycle of a number of Construction projects, involving the project management of the project and the staff / operatives working on it.Pro-active good at planning ahead as far as possible as the project progresses, checking back to plans/programmes regularly

Experience:

They will have a proven track record of project development and delivery and demonstrable experience of pre-construction and construction phases delivery of multiple projects.Fully conversant with all applicable legislation, regulations, and standards.Able to produce estimates of project programmes and cost targets, reviewed and revised as necessary throughout the project life cycle.Have the ability to plan projects using at least 1 industry standard programming package.Able to capture stakeholder briefs, analysing and testing the documented statement of stakeholders and user requirements.Able to determine the overall duration of projects, including the identification of activities, interdependencies, and estimated duration's.A minimum of five years experience of working within a construction related industry (essential).Management experience of delivering multiple projects simultaneously (project values ranging from £10K to £2,000,000) and Understand profit & loss at a project level.Able to deliver the above at pace, working within multiple deadlines whilst delivering works accurately.You will be expected to work to your own initiative, whilst also working well as an integral team member.

Salary: £39-£41k DOE plus company car (EV)
