Summary

Step Teachers are currently working with an excellent Plymouth school to locate a Music teacher for a long-term role to start as soon as possible. The position will require planning and marking which is excellent for experienced or ECT Teachers. The role is to start immediately.

This Secondary Academy has high standards of behaviour and these high standards are congruent with their aim to achieve academic excellence for every student.

Role:

  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Music curriculum
  • Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources, instruments and equipment
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Music at Secondary School level.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
  • A relevant Music related degree is desirable.
  • SEND experience is desirable
