Exciting opportunity awaits a Deputy Home Manager to join the Preston residence. Our facility accommodates up to 4 young individuals, all of whom have learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, and may display associated behaviours. Many of the children, though not all, are non-verbal or have limited communication skills, often utilizing alternative methods such as picture boards, Smart box devices, and Makaton.
Situated in Preston, a vibrant city steeped in industrial history and cultural richness against the backdrop of Lancashire's scenic countryside, the Home enjoys excellent transportation connections. Preston boasts a central railway station linking to major cities, an extensive network of bus routes, and its strategic position along the M6 motorway ensures convenient travel throughout the region.
Qualifications and attributes required:
•Previous experience in a Residential Childcare Environment.
•Possession of a Level 3 Children's and Young People qualification or equivalent.
•Valid driver's license (a company-provided car is available during working hours).
•Flexibility to work during non-traditional hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
