Are you looking for a challenge to gain knowledge and experience of the core areas of complex patient care and discharge on anew community hospital Discharge to Assess (D2A) Ward?

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic Band 5 Registered nurses who will deliver a high-quality patient care and thrive on the opportunities this post offers. Community health care is changing and fast developing, and it is an exciting time to be a part of the Discharge Business Unit!

The posts advertised will be for one of the wards across the business unit, we have 2 at Sir Robert Peel, Tamworth and 2 at Samuel Johnson Community Hospital, Lichfield.

The world population is ageing, and we are all familiar with the challenges of meeting the needs of the growing number of older people here at Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital/Samuel Johnson Community Hospital and we all work tirelessly to ensure the right care and support services are in place when older people need them.

Thus, our vision for our patients is they should live long and healthy lives, enjoying an active, fulfilling and independent existence– in which the ageing process becomes a positive rather than a negative experience.

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse you will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care, including: assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating of holistic and individualised care. This will be in line with local, Trust wide and national policies, procedures, values and behaviours.
