Brightwork are supporting our client with the recruitment for a Senior Fire and Security Engineer. Our client is a leading provider of fire, intruder, CCTV, and access control systems, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and customer satisfaction.

The Role – Senior Fire and Security Engineer

As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the team while upholding the highest standards of technical expertise and customer service.

Type: Full time, permanent

Shifts: Monday – Friday

Work Location: On the road (Scotland)

Key Purpose of the Job:

• Service and maintain fire, intruder, CCTV, and access control systems, adhering to current standards.
• Assist the Department supervisor and Service Manager in achieving outstanding performance and excellent customer service.
• Provide field technical expertise across all systems, conventional and IP-based.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with the company, Customers, Service Manager, and area supervisor.
• Work within a team covering a geographical area in Scotland.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer queries.
• Provide leadership to respective teams.
• Manage site projects as required.
• Assist teams during resource challenges, sickness, or leave.
• Conduct field-based mentoring and assist with technical queries.
• Support schedulers with mobilisation and planning.
• Maintain high standards of team working practices.
• Attend regional and Head Office meetings as necessary.
• Uphold company policies and best practices, particularly regarding information security.
• Implement and adhere to the organisation’s information security policies.
• Protect assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference.
• Report security events or potential risks.
• Foster good team spirit and communication.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience across multiple disciplines including Intruder, fire, CCTV, Access Control.
• Customer-focused with excellent telephone manner.
• PC Literate and a team player.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and exceed given tasks.
• Ambassadors for the company, displaying quality and excellence in all dealings.
• Ability to work in a continually changing environment.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience with Network/IP based products.
• Full Knowledge of Galaxy Panels/Max Readers.
• Previous experience in a senior position.
• GENT trained fire engineer.
