What we need from you

The most important thing for us is that you have the ability use your initiative and have exceptional communication and customer service skills. As a key member of the Devon team you should be able to organise and prioritise your workload to ensure that all general administrative tasks are completed within an efficient and timely manner. Your can-do attitude will ensure you are able to support the wider management team complete and process documentation whilst understanding the pressures and challenges they face.

Furthermore, it’s important you are able to understand other people’s emotions as this is a key skill and principle at United Response. You will have the ability to be self-directed in your work and when necessary, the ability to work remotely and from a number of Devon accommodation office bases. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Service Managers so that they are able to deliver well led services for the people we support.

As an Area Administrator for Devon you will be responsible for:

  • All administrative functions including minute taking, filing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, arranging meetings
  • Ability to use/arrange meetings using MS Teams, Zoom and Starleaf
  • Deal with both incoming and outgoing mail promptly and ensure relevant information is distributed as and when necessary.
  • To liaise with Management Team to gather information in order to agree, prepare and publish the On-call rota.
  • Responsible for updating HR systems as appropriate.
  • To maintain stationery supplies and other consumables and equipment as require
  • You will work closely with recruitment team and ensure appropriate documentation for new starters is completed in relation to payroll and training.
