Older Adult Mental Health - Health Care Support Workers

We have a number of fantastic opportunities to recruit passionate, dedicated and highly motivated Health Care Support Workers that are excited to be part of the Older Adult Mental Health Service. You will become part of a multi-disciplinary team that is committed to promoting high quality care to our older adult dementia and functional units.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested and committed to delivering care within a psychologically informed environment and will enhance already acquired skills.

If you are interested in working with us, you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to enable clients’ independence, rights, choices and dignity. A caring and compassionate attitude is essential as well as the ability to work with others in a busy and pressurised team environment. Whilst experience of working within a mental health or learning disability setting would be desirable it is not essential –it’s more about what you can bring to the role.

We adopt a flexible/blended approach to rostering ensuring that you are able to manage your work/life balance, so tell us what you can work and we will try to accommodate your needs.

Successful applicants will have excellent assessment, observation and communication skills and be committed to professional development. If not already in possession of an NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care, there is a requirement for you to work towards this qualification.
