Summary

About the Employer

Gentleman is an 85 years old Punjabi man. He is a Sikh and has been known to visit the local temple occasionally, but he is not heavily religious. He is in generally good health and can get around his own home without need of a physical aid or other assistance. He does, however, require a walking aid to go outside, and a wheelchair for any distance. He has dementia and diabetes, and this is primarily why he needs a PA to provide care for him to enable him to live at home. His short-term memory fails him and this affects his ability to plan and coordinate what he does. He has a gentle nature and is generally an undemanding, quiet, pleasant and calm person to be around. He has a beaming smile most of the time, especially after sharing some banter or a joke with you. He likes the comfort and peace of his own home and really enjoys sitting in the conservatory in the sun and warmth when the weather permits. He likes to watch Indian comedy and drama programs on TV for entertainment. He enjoys spending time with his family, including his 2-year-old grandson, whenever they visit. He enjoys eating both Indian and western food, and is always looking forward to his next meal time!
