Summary
We are a small animal Veterinary Surgery who provides a friendly, efficient, and professional service to our clients and their animals.
We are looking for someone to join our small, dedicated team in a role as
Veterinary Nursing Assistant
The suitable candidate will:-
Have excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
Be able to work as part of a team or on own initiative (sometimes under high pressure)
Take sole responsibility on some occasions
Be able to follow instructions and work within Data Protection rules
The role will entail:-
Answering telephone calls
Booking appointments onto computer system (accuracy to detail is paramount)
Assisting Veterinary surgeon in consultations/operating theatre
All aspects of animal handling
Dealing with clients face to face
Cleaning
Handling cash
Use of laboratory equipment/maintenance/ordering stock
Dealing with insurance claims/invoicing/booster reminders
And many more roles
The position is about 20hrs per week, hours between 8am & 6pm with Saturday mornings on a rota system, but there must be flexibility to cover holidays and sick leave.
Previous experience would be advantageous but full training could be given to the right candidate.
