Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm / Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm

Location: James Hall & Co. Bowland View, Preston, PR2 5QT

About the Role

As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in creating detailed architectural drawings and plans for retail
fit-out projects. This position involves collaboration with the design team, our company owned stores and independent retailers,
as well as ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.



Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing

Project Development: Collaborate with the design team to create detailed architectural drawings and plans, ensuring compliance
with building codes.

Technical Expertise: Utilise AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software for accurate and efficient design documentation.

Construction Documentation: Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and
details.

Coordination: Work closely with design and project management teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.

Site Visits: Conduct periodic site visits to ensure implementation aligns with original plans and specifications.

Problem Solving: Address design challenges proactively, providing innovative solutions to meet project requirements.

Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality design work and compliance with industry standards, company guidelines, and regulations.

Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders, providing technical support during the project lifecycle.

Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the team.



A Few Things About You

We’re looking for some who has demonstrable experience as a Technologist, preferably with experience in the retail sector.

* Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential qualities.
* Proficiency in 3D drawing using market-leading software, such as Vectorworks or a similar tool, would be advantageous.
* Degree in architectural technology is required, along with a Maths A-Level.
* Fully skilled AutoCAD user
