Summary

Langley has a fantastic opportunity for an organised, creative, and results-driven Activities Coordinator with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our busy and friendly team. This role is a permanent part-time working 24 hours per week. The successful candidate will receive a salary of £17,053 per annum.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To propose and implement an activities programme, ensuring resources, equipment and training and best meeting needs of clients individually and collectively.
  • To lead and encourage clients to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible, creating a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home, for clients to enjoy which will be risk assessed.
  • To work with each new client to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual care plan pathway for activities and to review regularly.
  • To cultivate and promote effective working relationships with relatives, visitors, volunteers and community contacts.
  • To ensure that all clients receive some form of social activity each week and clients receive individualised time, particularly those that do not wish to participate in group activities.
