Summary
The post holder will : work autonomously, with a caseload of patients across the inpatient wards based at NewHaven take a lead in the physiotherapy assessment of patients, develop individualised treatment plans using clinical reasoning communicate effectively with patients and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential. assess mental capacity for physiotherapy interventions provided and work within a legal framework with patients who lack the capacity to consent to treatment. demonstrate understanding of clinical governance and risk management and apply this to working with patients who may have high levels of risk associated with their mental health presentation. support Physiotherapy students on clinical placement. undertake Manual Handling Assessor training, to support the delivery of mandatory training for clinical staff and to provide support to carers. undertake training in Safety Intervention. Maintain CPD, clinical supervision will be provided via a peer support framework.
