Are you passionate about supporting the personal and academic development of students? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Year to join our client at in Blackpool for an immediate start. This is a non-teaching role focused on pastoral care and student welfare.
Role Overview:
As the Head of Year, you will play a crucial role in providing pastoral support and guidance to a designated year group of students. You will oversee their well-being, behaviour, and academic progress, working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure each student reaches their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strong pastoral care and support for the assigned year group.
• Monitor attendance, behaviour, and welfare of students.
• Implement strategies to support student well-being and mental health.
• Lead and coordinate interventions for students facing challenges.
• Liaise with parents/carers, teachers, and external agencies as needed.
• Organise and oversee year group activities and events.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a pastoral or student support role within a school setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to empathise with and motivate students.
• Organisational skills and ability to manage administrative tasks.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
