Summary

Development Officer – Sport (up to 12 months fixed term contract)

In this role as Development Officer Sport, you will use insight to help design and implement positive youth sport experiences that enable young people to achieve their personal best at any level of performance. You will support National Governing Bodies of Sport to ensure inequalities that exist for children to access sport are challenged. You will develop and deliver high quality learning environments that are cutting edge, unique and inspire participants. You will also get the opportunity to work with key partners, including corporates, National Governing Bodies of Sport, professional sports teams, schools and others. Important will be the ability to build links internally and with youth forums to ensure our sporting solutions remain relevant and continue to meet the needs of young people.

You will need to be experienced at managing programmes or supporting multiple, long term and complex projects you will have worked within the school landscape and/or the sport system where you will have gained expertise in co-ordinating work with external partners. You will possess excellent communication, planning and interpersonal skills too. Comfortable managing budgets, you will be used to producing stakeholder reporting and co-ordinating work with external partners. You will also be effective at achieving targets and responding quickly and flexibly to changing needs and tight deadlines. Knowledge of management information systems would be an advantage in this role.
