Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable School Catering Assistant to join our team and assist in providing nutritious and delicious meals to students during lunchtime. The safety and well-being of our students are paramount, and therefore, an Enhanced DBS on an update service is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in the preparation of food items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot meals.
Setting up and serving food in an organized and timely manner.
Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and dining area.
Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Assisting in the storage and rotation of food supplies and ingredients.
Following all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
Providing friendly and courteous service to students and staff.
Collaborating with other team members to maintain a positive working environment.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on an update service is a must-have.
Previous experience in a catering or food service role is desirable but not essential.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic food hygiene knowledge and understanding.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Work Schedule:
