Main duties and responsibilities
The purpose of the Head of Advice and Welfare is to lead on the departmental strategic efforts to enhance student involvement, foster community and promote a vibrant university experience. This role will oversee the union’s Advice and Welfare department, overseeing the provision of a confidential, non-judgmental and independent advice, information and advocacy service for students at UEA. Acting as the safeguarding and complaints lead for the organisation.
Providing strategic support to the Senior Leadership Team member of the directorate in the implementation of the union’s strategy, specifically for the Advice and Welfare Department, and support the Directorate’s Senior Management Team member to effectively deliver the Directorate’s strategy plans to enable the union to fulfil its strategic aims.
