Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for dealing with our exhibitors for our forthcoming events as well as handling customer enquiries. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. This role is a ZERO hour contract as currently it would only be for approximately 1 day a week, though it is an ideal post for a indidivual looking to get into the wedding fayre industry and events.
Responsibilities:
- Update spreadsheets for each event with new registrations, and send follow up emails.
- Social Media marketing on all platforms.
- Create artwork for forthcoming events.
- Coordinate event logistics, checking suppliers booked on and looking to fill any gaps
- Oversee event registration and guest services to ensure a smooth check-in process
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing client inquiries or concerns
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination is preferred
- Strong upselling skills to maximize revenue opportunities
- Knowledge of the hotel or hospitality industry is a plus
- Able to work with all software such as Office, and Google Drive.
- Excellent guest services skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in time management to meet deadlines effectively
