An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AHP Pre-registration Education Lead to lead on the coordination, delivery & reporting of effective AHP pre-registration student education & training & meet the delivery targets set out by NHSE WTE.

As an HCPC registered AHP with relevant NHS experience you will be responsible for the provision of a high quality learning experience for pre-registration AHP students at UCLH. The post holder will work with the AHP Education & workforce Project Manager, AHP Leads & Practice Educators to deliver key strategic aims & objectives for pre-registration education. You will also engage with the NCL AHP faculty, & NHSE WTE in the London region.

With experience of developing & delivering education & supporting pre-registration learning in practice, you will work collaboratively with MDT colleagues & stakeholders to develop transformational delivery of AHP student education.

The post holder will be able to work independently, to set priorities & manage time effectively. You will have strong communication, organisation & decision making skills & have a proven track record in delivery & co-ordination of pre-registration student placement activity.

The proposed interview date is 10th of May 2024.
• Ensure the coordination, delivery & reporting of effective AHP pre-registration student education and training.
• Ensure development of transformational delivery of AHP pre-registration student education to meet the targets set out by NHSE.
• Responsible for provision of a high quality learning experience for AHP students at UCLH.
• Provide leadership to the development & delivery of student education & training programmes.
• Establish & maintain support systems enabling staff to keep their mentorship/clinical education skills updated
• Supervise & support local AHP teams in the delivery management, & allocation of pre-registration student placement activity.
• Manage student placements & commissioning of programmes.
• Design & implement strategies to meet HCPC standards & other professional & educational quality assurance agencies.
• Represent the Trust & work collaboratively with HEIs & stakeholders.
• Engage staff in the recruitment & selection, training & development of students.& addressing concerns in practice.
• Contribute to workforce planning initiatives.
• Chair AHP Student Placements Group.
• Provide leadership & coordination to a team of AHP Clinical/Practice Educators.
• Overall responsible for the offer, collation & reporting of pre-registration student placements.
• Determine quality indicators for AHP practice with HEIs, undertake audits as required ensuring feedback of outcomes to stakeholders.
• Identify & manage AHP obligations in relation to Education Contract.
