Summary


Are you a Registered Dietitian looking for an exciting new post? We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Dietitian with experience and interest in renal disease to join our growing, supportive renal dietetics team.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and time management skills, together with an ability to be flexible and a commitment to MDT working. In return, we offer excellent development opportunities within the field of renal dietetics.

Working with other renal dietitians, the successful candidate will provide the dietetics service to patients requiring dialysis across 5 renal units and home therapies. You will be a vital member of the MDT and support multi-professional quality assurance meetings. Once established in your role you will also support the development of a junior member of the team on rotation, and participating in the training of student dietitians.

Our Nutrition & Dietetic Service has a staff of 30 who provide a service to the ethnically diverse populations of Wolverhampton & Cannock. The dietetic renal team is one of 5 clinical teams within the department, and our admin team provides good secretarial support. We provide excellent training & development opportunities for our team, and clinical placements for students from Coventry and Birmingham City Universities.

To assess, diagnose and treat nutrition related problems in the renal population.

Proactively support patients & their health care team to manage abnormal biochemistry, and undertake regular SGAs

To work with the team to develop patient education resources.

To contribute to QA meetings to improve patient care, treatment and outcomes.

To develop and arrange training for members of the multidisciplinary and dietetic team as required.

To develop practice by undertaking evidence-based audit and project work.
