Summary

Are you a qualified Legionella Risk Assessor who is looking for your next challenge? Do you want to work for one of the leading organisations in the field of water treatment who have the most advanced and latest software in the field?

Randstad C&P are currently recruiting for experienced Legionella Risk Assessors, you will be required to carry out a daily schedule of risk assessments at pre-booked appointments. These will predominantly be a mixture of commercial type properties, that vary in size and complexity. This vacancy will predominantly be Edinburgh.

Package includes:

  • Competitive salary between £31,000 - £34,500 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Van and fuel card supplied
  • Core hours Monday to Friday (40 hour week)

Main duties will include:

  • Delivering legionella risk assessments to a varied contract base.
  • Preparing schematic drawings using an AutoCAD based program.
  • Undertake monitoring tasks occasionally including L8.
  • Disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
  • Carrying out TMV servicing and cold water storage tank inspections.
  • Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems and cooling towers.
  • Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
  • Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
  • Minor plumbing/remedial works.
  • Interpreting the results and maintaining and installing dosing systems, etc.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the industry.
  • An approved Legionella Risk Assessment qualification eg. City & Guilds, BOHS, WMSoc.
  • A good working knowledge of ACOP L8 & Guidance Documents.
  • A good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these.
  • Experience of water systems in and around commercial establishments.
