Our client is currently seeking a Superintendent Radiographer to lead an esteemed MRI team in Westminster. When necessary, you will directly line manage the Radiology service, so leadership skills and experience are vital for this position.

The successful radiography candidate will assume responsibilities as a direct line manager when necessary, overseeing other modalities or the entirety of the Radiology department. Additionally, they will actively contribute to service planning and development, aligning with the department and hospital's overarching objectives and values.

The salary for this is £55,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending upon experience.

Roles & Responsibilities of the Superintendent Radiographer:

• Management of the MRI department, leading a team of Senior MRI Radiographers.
• Ensuring a professional standard of MRI services, particularly in Paediatric & Adult imaging.
• Collaborating with Radiologists and Consultants to establish policies and protocols for MRI imaging and patient care pathways.
• Financial and staffing management to maintain departmental budget and associated KPIs.
• Coordination of weekly MRI lists under General Anaesthetic, taking the lead in this multidisciplinary team.
• Acting as a deputy for management in their absence.
• Upholding patient confidentiality in accordance with policies and professional Code of Conduct.

Candidate Requirements of the Superintendent Radiographers:

• Degree in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
• Previous MRI experience in a Superintendent/Lead Radiographer role in the UK.
• Strong grasp of clinical governance and MRI-related protocols.
• Desirable experience in Cardiac scanning and scanning Paediatric patients.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS software.
• Experience in General Anaesthetic MRI scanning.
