Location: Tamworth, B77 4AS
Salary: £26.5k and £32k, DOE + Benefits - Pro Rata
Contract: Part time, Fixed Term Contract (Maternity cover) - Opportunity for permanent role at end of contract
Hours: 25-30 per week, Mon - Fri, negotiable

Accounts Assistant - Duties & Responsibilities:

What you'll be doing:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will ensure the smooth running of the accounts function on a day-to-day basis to enable the efficient completion of month end accounts by the company's Accountant, This specifically includes:

- Processing of salaries and weekly wages including related tasks such as expenses / private milage

- Credit control incl. statements

- Posting cash and bank reconciliation

- Raising bank payments e.g. suppliers, wages

- Processing of purchase / sales invoices into Sage

- Credit card analysis

- Preparations for the management accounts e.g. accruals, pre-payments

- General accounts enquiries

- Production of various reports

- Working effectively with multi-departments including head office

- Time management across a multi-faceted role

Accounts Assistant - Candidate requirements:

We need someone who knows their way around Sage and Excel and has at least a basic knowledge of financial principles and practices either from experience in a role and/or from an account's qualification such as AAT or similar.
