We are currently seeking a dedicated Children’s Community Nursing Team Lead to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team in providing exceptional care to children and young people with complex health needs and disabilities in community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering a neurodevelopmental paediatric nursing service to children aged 0 to 18 years (and up to 19 years in special schools) with a range of developmental neurological disabilities.
• Conducting assessments using standardised tools for children with complex and/or long-term disabilities and additional needs.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, carers, and professionals to maintain a holistic approach to care.
• Generating detailed reports for various purposes, including EHCP (education and health care plans).
• Effective communication in complex and challenging situations.
• Providing clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and pre and post-diagnostic support teams.
Requirements:
• Registered Children’s Nurse (RGN with relevant experience will be considered)
• NMC registered
• Management/Leadership qualification or equivalent experience
• Teaching and assessing qualification
• Significant post-registration experience in a community setting with children and young people
• Experience in team management and development
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and extensive safeguarding knowledge
