Summary
Applications are invited for the above post of Fixed term Speciality Doctor within the General Surgery Division at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position for 6 months, extendable to a year.
The post will include General Emergency Surgery on-call with elective work being mostly for Breast with some General Surgery.
The Hillingdon Hospital wishes to appoint a Senior Clinical Fellowto join the General Surgery department for a 6 - 12 month fixed-term contract.The role will focus primarily on breast and general surgery and the post holder will be required to partake in the on call rota. The post is essential to meet the ongoing Breast and General Surgical expansion. The department has 8 substantive consultants, 3 Breast consultants and two locum consultants with middle grade and juniors to support them.

The senior clinical fellow will primarily work for the Breast unit with 1:8 oncall. The job covers a wide variety of oncoplastic breast surgery, one-stop clinic exposure, planning and plastic surgery clinical exposure. The Breast team at Hillingdon hospital is based in the new purpose-built unit at Mount Vernon Hospital. The Breast team provides comprehensive service including oncoplastic surgery, medical and clinical oncology with weekly multi-disciplinary meetings.
