Summary


You will assist the Clinical Lead Nurse in ensuring care delivery and management of PCCU is implemented within agreed frameworks in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures, values and behaviours.

You will provide high quality care to level 1 - 2 patients enabling the holistic needs of the patient to be met.

The Senior Staff nurse/Charge Nurse takes responsibility and is accountable to delegated nursing care within the clinical environment. They provide nursing leadership and are accountable for patient, public and staff experience.

They will lead, offer clinical advice and support management of services to ensure the delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate nursing care.

They will act as an excellent role model and support the nursing team around them to provide excellent patient care.

The role involves working as part of a nursing and medical team to provide stabilisation and critical care to babies and children within PCCU at Royal Derby Hospital.
