Summary


Imaging Assistants are an integral part of the Radiology Team providing a high standard of patient centered care to deliver and maintain a good patient experience.

We are looking for individuals with:
• GCSE (or equivalent) in four subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
• Experience in a caring/clerical post
• Committed to providing quality care
• Highly motivated and want to be a part of a dedicated team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong patient focus

You will become part of a professional and caring workforce delivering high standards of care to our patients, which is both challenging and rewarding.

The post will be a support role to patients undergoing tests and procedures, assisting consultants and radiographers performing radiology examinations.

The Radiology facility at New Cross Hospital is a purpose-built unit completed in 2003, with excellent facilities for patients and staff.

There will be a brand new community diagnostic centre (CDC) with Radiology facilities at Cannock Chase Hospital opening in Jan 2024. This post will be based at Cannock with the requirement for occasional cross-site working.

Applicants must be prepared to work flexibly on a rolling 4-week rota to include early morning, evening and weekend shifts. Participation in the Bank/Statutory Holiday Rota is a requirement of this post.
