Connex Education is working with an SEMH Alternative School in Middlesbrough who are recruiting for a SEND teacher to work full- time.
About the school
The school itself caters for pupils with a range of needs including
SEMH, ADHD, Attachment and Behaviour issues. As a SEND Teacher, you will be delivering Core subjects to KS3 and 4 Students on a 1:1 bases or within the small group classrooms.
All staff at the school aim to provide pupils with a nurturing and engaging learning environment. They are looking for a SEND Teacher who is hard working, resilient and who wants to make a difference to pupils education by supporting them.
Assignment Details
This role will commence as soon as you are cleared for work and will last for the remainder of the academic year.

Person Specification
- Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH conditions.
- Hold a Qualified Teacher Status certificate.
- Be a subject Specialist in Science
- Knowledge of child development and learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must hold a DBS on update service or willing to apply for one.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt lessons as needed.
- Good organization and multitasking abilities.
