- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their educational and social development
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
- Providing one-on-one support to students with specific learning difficulties
- Implementing strategies to promote inclusion and participation of students with SEND
- Helping students with communication and language difficulties, including the use of British Sign Language (BSL) if required
- Assisting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in managing their behaviour and emotional well-being
- Supporting students during educational outings and extracurricular activities
- Collaborating with the school's SEND coordinator and other professionals to develop individual education plans
- Providing feedback to the class teacher on student progress and highlighting any concerns or issues
- Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant certification or training in supporting students with SEND
- Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a SEND setting
- Good understanding of various special educational needs and disabilities
- Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support students with SEND
- Familiarity with British Sign Language (BSL) is highly desirable
- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with students, teachers, and parents
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with SEND
- Higher education qualification in Education or a related field
- Additional training or certification in British Sign Language (BSL)
- Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Contract duration: As specified in the contract
- Work environment: School setting, primarily within classrooms and other educational spaces
- May involve physical activities such as assisting students with mobility, lifting, or supporting students with physical disabilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
