Join our team at an Acute Care Facility, where you'll be at the forefront of patient care, making a difference in people's lives. We are currently seeking dedicated nursing professionals for various shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrate exceptional decision-making abilities in critical situations.
• Utilise the nursing process to develop individualised care plans for patients.
• Act as a patient advocate, facilitating communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Initiate and participate in patient care conferences.
• Utilise clinical, hospital, and community resources effectively.
• Ensure safe and economical use of equipment and supplies.
• Provide guidance and direction to support personnel as needed.
• Assume in-charge duties as required.
• Take responsibility for professional development through participation in continuing education programs, staying updated with professional literature, and engaging in professional organisations.
Qualifications & Registration Required:
• Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution.
• Nursing Specialty Certification in Emergency Nursing preferred.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification from the Emergency Nurses Association preferred.
• Current registration as required by the Bermuda Nursing Council.
• Two years of continuous experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Department.
• Current certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Essential experience in physical assessment.
• Demonstrated knowledge and clinical competencies.
