Classroom Support is doing it's best to support a fantastic Primary School in Woodford Green. We are currently searching for a bubbly, energetic SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism, ADHD and children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have excellent communication skills and will be a friendly and energetic person who will do their best to support both pupils and teachers.

Your role will be varied, supporting pupils both in small groups and 1:2:1 with pupils requiring dedicated support. You ideally will have experience supporting pupils with various forms of SEN such as ASC and ADHD and be confident working with challenging pupils and have a calm, but resilient personality.

You must be confident in your behaviour management skills.

A Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification is essential.



The specifications of the role are as follows:

Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 3:30pm (term-time only).
£85-95 per day.
Weekly pay.
Temp to perm - temp period 12-14 academic weeks. Perm contracts available for candidates with excellent performance.
To supervise and provide educational support for pupils with SEN.
To utilise their experience in supporting challenging pupils.
To utilise effective behaviour management techniques.
To provide support for individual pupils inside and outside of class to help them interact with others and to engage in classroom activities.
To provide detailed and regular feedback about the pupil(s) to their teacher.
To start in April 2024 or as soon as possible.


The requirements of the role are as follows:

You must have a valid enhanced DBS certificate (registered on the update service) or be willing to pay for a new one (£52.20).
You must have recent classroom experience (within 1 year).
You must have experience supporting pupils with SEN such as Autism or ADHD.
You must have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification.
Candidates requiring visa sponsorship will NOT be considered.
