Summary
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team. As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various surfaces in an industrial setting. Additionally, you would be expected to Powder Coat steel; training in this area can be provided. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Work Schedule:
This is a 4-day week job, Monday to Thursday, starting at 7:00 am and finishing at 5:30 pm, with every Friday off.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results.
Loading/unloading paint lines.
Apply paint and coatings using various techniques such as spraying, rolling, and brushing.
Ensure proper coverage and finish quality on all painted surfaces.
Conduct paint inspections using wet combs and paint thickness gauges.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines when handling paint and chemicals.
Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition.
Assist with other tasks as needed, such as warehouse duties or basic assembly.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Industrial Painter or similar role.
Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of industrial painting processes.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other painting equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings.
Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint quantities.
Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Minimum of 5 years of experience.
Time served or certified by an external training body.
Desirable Skills:
Forklift & overhead crane licence/experience.
