Summary
Due to the nature of the job, we can only accept female applications.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated support workers to join our team. As a support worker you will provide essential support and assistance to females who are rehabilitating from drug or alcohol misuse.
The females we look after want to be drug/alcohol free.
We do not look after active drug users.
Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support
- Monitor and report changes in behaviour or health conditions
- Support with appointments where necessary
-Shopping where necessary
- 1:1 Support
- Supervise medication according to prescribed instructions
- Support with life skills
- Drug testing
- Support with form filling/ Benefit calls/ Forms
- Make health appointments and liaise with professionals
- Write daily logs
- General daily tasks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Computer literate e.g Microsoft word and excel
- Knowledge of first aid, we provide training if necessary
- Familiarity with supporting individuals
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to have 1:1’s and help problem solve
You will be required to have a clean driving licence and would need to have an enhanced DBS check which will be paid for by the employer.
