Summary
BRAMLEY HEALTH ARE LOOKING FOR A SKILLED FRIENDLY PERSON TO JOIN THEIR TEAM AS MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/ GROUNDS KEEPER/ DECORATOR.
This role is essential to the efficiency and safety of our care homes, staff, visitors, and service users.

Bramley Health is a specialist health and social care provider. We support men and women of working age who pose variations of mental health challenges within our homes, to maximise their independence to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.
This role will focus on our Forest Lodge Care Home in East London, and our new care home coming soon in Dartford.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to recruit a maintenance technician/ grounds keeper/ decorator, to undertake general maintenance-based tasks to ensure that Forest Lodge care home and our soon to open Dartford home, are kept in a safe and operational state of repair.
The successful candidate will have a full clean driving license, their own set of tools, and be able to safely work around and interact with vulnerable adults.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance
o Perform general repairs on the property as required or requested
o Checking and replacing locks, doors, windows etc
o Managing the replacement of outlets ie; switches, plugs, bulbs
o Repairs and construction of basic furniture including wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside tables, beds
o Unclogging drains and toilets
o Repairing/ replacing faucets, pipes, and toilets as required
o Install and maintain flooring (carpet, lino, tiles)
o Carry out health and safety audits
o Liaise with external contractors for completion of specialist tasks
o Implement temporary fixes to ensure a safe environment prior to specialist involvement
Grounds Keeper
o Ensure home grounds are free of any litter/ mess
o Keep gardens trimmed and tidy, mowing grass
o Tending to flower beds, watering plans, pruning plants
o Jet wash paths and walkways as necessary, and keep clear of ice and leaves
o Rake up and dispose of fallen leaves
o Ensure grounds perimeters are adequate and clean (fences and walls)
Decorator
o Painting and/ or decorating of vacant rooms within the services as required
o Paint/ gloss doors and skirting/ architraves
o Hang pictures and art work in homes and halls
