Collections & Delivery Driver
Attention job seekers! Our company is seeking a 7.5-tonne driver who is willing to drive a 3.5 van during periods of downtime. This exciting opportunity is perfect for those who enjoy a variety of work. It's a temporary position that can become permanent for the right candidate.
Your responsibilities will include:
7.5 Tonne:
- The role is to deliver and collect mail and parcels from distribution centres and offices/businesses. This is not a residential delivery role.
- There will be loading and unloading, which entails pulling, pushing, twisting and lifting.
- There is also paperwork to complete and handheld scanners to use
Requirements:
- You must hold a current CPC and Digi tacho card
- No more than 5 points, no disqualifications will be accepted
- A DBS check will be carried out on your behalf
If you are successful, a 4-hour assessment that you need to complete and pass. Once you have started with us, your shifts will vary in length and can be anything from 4 to 15 hours long, the average is 6 to 8 hours.
Working Hours:
07:30 to 18:00 Monday to Friday - need to be flexible
Pay rates are:
- £14.10 per hour - Cat C (7.5)
Your responsibilities will include:
3.5 Tonne:
- Driving a 3.5t to deliver and collect between 50 to 70 parcels per day, (you will start off with a smaller number of parcels whilst you get to know the role and build up to the expected volumes).
- You will be provided with a delivery and collections route to ensure all parcels are delivered/collected on time.
- Scanning parcels on and off route to ensure tracking information is available to customers and colleagues.
- Carrying out relevant safety checks on the vehicle.
- Working as part of the wider team and depot colleagues to improve customer service.
Requirements:
- Category B (3.5t light van) manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Previous experience completing parcel multi-drop is advantageous due to the number of parcels you will be expected to deliver each day once you have been trained.
- We are looking for individuals with great customer service skills who can navigate and drive safely to deliver parcels and help make a difference in the community.

08:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday - need to be flexible
Pay rates are:
- £14.04 per hour - Cab B (3.5)
