Summary

The Regulatory Interface & External Oversight (RI&EO) Department with our client are looking for an individual to support the department, in particular, the External Oversight activities.

We are looking for a self-starter with good communication skills, the ability to collate, review and assess reports and demonstrate good analysis skills. Competence on spreadsheets such as Excel would be useful.

Although not essential, experience of external oversight activities, audit, Certification, assessment would be advantageous.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensuring that personal safety/behaviours/work practices are in line with safety standards and reporting all incidents in line with company procedure.
  • Providing quality assurance in compliance with department arrangements on provision of information to and from the external parties mentioned above.
  • Provision of timely support and guidance to participants in the External Oversight activities including interviewees and Site Quality Assurance role-holders.
  • Maintaining records of External Oversight activities and ensuring appropriate access and timely communication of outcomes.
  • Collecting, maintaining, analysing and collating data to support and develop the process of managing the outcomes of our External oversight activities - evidencing themes and trends year-on-year to inform improvement activities.
  • Contributing to continuous performance improvements and proactive management of department/business KPIs.
  • Delivery of business plan actions associated with External Oversight management processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • GCSE/National Qualification standards (or equivalent) which should include English and Mathematics.
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience of working in an Assurance/Compliance environment/role desirable.

Specific Skills.

  • Previous experience of working with multiple sources of information and information systems, hierarchies, and archives - will train on internal specialist systems (CDMS/AMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel - particularly useful, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Prioritising work and exercising independent judgment, common sense, initiative and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and editorial skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand, and explain to others, both technical and business perspectives on process compliance.
  • Stakeholder management skills with experience and ability to work with, and advise, all levels of management.
  • Providing efficient and effective customer service and communicating clearly and objectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to foster strong, positive working relationships with all sites and departments to be seen as a point of contact for information and advice.

Key Competencies.

  • Experience or familiarity with working in the Nuclear or similar highly regulated industry would be preferred.
  • Ability to work in a demanding and time critical environment where change is a regular occurrence.
  • Demonstrates high level of personal and professional integrity and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenge.
  • Ability to work under own initiative, independently without supervision at times, and as part of a team, stepping in to help others when necessary.
