Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic experienced RMN to join our innovative management team on Emerald Lodge.

Emerald Lodge is an open rehabilitation unit for individuals experiencing chronic and enduring mental health problems. The unit consists of 8 inpatient beds and 3 self contained single occupancy step down bungalows, in a semi-independent setting to aid smooth transition into the community.

Emerald Lodge provides mental health rehabilitation based on the fundamental principles of recovery, assisting patients to regain / develop a meaningful life, as close to their communities and support networks as possible.

We are looking to recruit a deputy ward manager who is highly motivated to provide excellent standards of patient care and support developments within the service, as we continually strive to improve care delivery and enhance the patient journey. We are looking for a positively motivated leader who has experience of working within the specialism of mental health and has a strong desire to enhance the rehabilitation process.

The successful candidate will support a dedicated multi-professional team in providing high quality care for people with enduring & complex mental health needs. We want to hear from applicants with strong leadership skills to ensure that we provide evidence based best practice to the patient group, while supporting and motivating a team in a challenging clinical environment.

The successful candidate must be a qualified RMN, able to demonstrate related learning beyond registration and be prepared to continue enhancing your clinical and managerial skills.

The candidate will work closely with the Ward Manager and the wider MDT to create goal directed treatment packages for our patients, as well as promoting and assuring robust risk assessment and management processes.

The Deputy Ward Manager would be responsible for supporting the Ward Manager with the day-to-day management and leadership of the service, with specific responsibility for the provision of clinical leadership to registered staff.

The poster holder will assist the Ward Manager in the provision of clinical leadership and to be a clinical role model to the 24-hour inpatient team. Acting on behalf of and to deputise, as directed by the Ward Manager in their absence and provide quality evidence-based nursing advice, support and care for service users with mental and physical health needs and to their carers within a multidisciplinary setting. Working in conjunction with the Matron to set, maintain and audit clinical standards in adherence to local and national priorities.
