Summary


As the Team Lead for the UCLH Clinical Scientific Computing IT Analysts you will have the satisfaction of applying your extensive IT knowledge and experience, your customer focus and your ability to lead and develop your staff.

You should already be an experienced IT Analyst working independently, providing excellent support to computing service users. You should preferably have extensive experience in specialised Medical Device IT services within a hospital environment, however we also welcome applications from candidates with extensive IT experience and team leadership gained in more general IT environments. You will be able to demonstrate that you set high standards, are safety conscious, and always ensure services are provided to enhance and improve patient care.

You will work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Clinical Scientific Computing as well as Clinical Scientists and Technologists within Clinical Scientific Computing and other members of staff within Medical Physics. You will develop strong and productive working relationships with staff in UCLH Digital Healthcare Technology and their commercial partners.

The successful person will be required to:
• Lead and develop staff within the Analyst team
• Manage the prioritisation, delivery and quality of the services provided by the team.
• Manage the performance and productivity of the team
• Provide second line support to end users.
• Setup and provide second line support of medical device connectivity
• Provide second line support of servers and file share management
• Provide System Management and second line support for specific clinical applications in BAU.
• Provide project management of systems upgrade and implementation projects

You will ensure that all work performed conforms to the department’s quality system with all support requests recorded within the section’s ticket management system. You will ensure that your team follows good practice in record keeping and communicates effectively with customers.
