Description:
The Senior Broker (Telesales) role requires a dynamic individual to lead face-to-face lead generation, client interactions in-branch, over the phone, and via email. The primary focus is to maximize sales targets through efficient communication and negotiation skills while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate must possess good judgement, analytical skills, attention to detail, and initiative, along with a drive to meet sales objectives and adhere to underwriting authority limits.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Identify areas for improvement and provide potential solutions to reduce costs.
Deliver good outcomes for customers and prioritize customer interests.
Provide excellent customer service for New Business, ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently.
Understand product offerings and provide clear, fair, and not misleading information to customers.
Calculate New Business premiums according to carrier risk appetite and guidelines.
Answer telephone calls promptly and maintain accurate records of customer interactions.
Handle queries via email, telephone, and in-person while adhering to SLAs.
Attend network events as required and develop strategies to generate new business opportunities.
Product and Technical Knowledge:
Understand legal principles of insurance and insurance contracts.
Have technical knowledge of product range, including coverage provisions, exclusions, and policy conditions.
Conduct Rules:
Act with integrity and diligence.
Be open and cooperative with regulators.
Pay regard to customer interests and treat them fairly.
Observe proper standards of market conduct and deliver good outcomes for retail customers.
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication skills.
Understanding of the UK insurance market.
Ability to understand diverse client needs and industry risks.
Effective time management and ability to work under pressure.
