Summary


This post is to support the Healthy Family Team (Health Visiting and School Nursing) in the delivery of a universal and targeted 0-19 Healthy Child and Public Health Nursing Programme. This will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities. Working proactively using a partnership approach to promote health and contribute to tackling health inequalities within the level of competencies required for the post.

This post is predominantly working to support the Healthy Family Team as their administration support, office based in the main, and for a few weeks each year will also support with the delivery of the National Child Measurement Programme, attending schools to complete child growth measurements.

The post base is Rainworth PCC, however the successful candidate will be required to work flexibly to support the needs of the Healthy Family Team across the Newark and Sherwood District as required.

There is a good training and induction package.

Hybrid working , working from home, will be possible when appropriate, this will be at the discretion of the Manager. There will be some travel between bases and other venues, travel expenses are paid.

This is a key role, the main object being to effectively support the team in any administrative tasks that are requested in order to assist them to complete their roles with efficiency and to the best effect for the families we work with.

The administrative work will mainly be around confidential electronic patient records, also working within the electronic record system and use of the telephone , completing various tasks.

There will be an ongoing requirement to provide the team with various printed or photocopied stationery and letters, ensuring appointments are sent to families on time and with accuracy.

You will work mainly within an office environment providing administrative support to the Healthy Family Team along with occasional work with children, young people and families within the community settings.

You will be administration support for the team when not carrying out Screening activities and will support the Newark and Sherwood District Administration lead with duties.

The screening activities will require candidates to be physically able to rapidly carry out weight and growth measurements with children at various ages.

A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010 or the ability to be able to attend various locations as required by the service.

Please note this post does not meet skill level required for a Skilled worker visa. Applicants requiring a Skilled Worker visa will usually need to be in a role which is at Band 3 or above, however please note not all Band 3 roles are capable of sponsorship.
