Summary

A renowned nursery located in Islington, near Highbury & Islington underground Station is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Nursery Manager for it's Day Nursery and Preschool.

As a Nursery Manager, you'll lead a team committed to providing exceptional care and education to children aged between 0-5 years. The nursery operates from 07:30am to 06:30pm, offering a diverse range of stimulating activities and experiences aimed at fostering children's development in language, social skills, numeracy, and creativity.

Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire nursery teams to deliver outstanding care and education
Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance
Collaborate with Recruitment and HR to ensure a fully recruited and diverse workforce
Mentor and support nursery team members to maintain high-quality early childhood practice
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies
Develop succession plans and nurture a high-performing team
Implement commercial plans to drive nursery growth and performance

Essential Requirements:

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
Experience in an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager
Track record of achieving "Good" or "Outstanding" outcomes in regulatory inspections
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection legislation
Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners
