In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing individual and group interventions, diagnostic assessments, and therapeutic treatments to support individuals with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Referral Management:
    • Participate in assessing referrals, conducting initial assessments for service users referred to the Specialist Eating Disorders service.
    • Undertake high-quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions, making autonomous clinical decisions.
  • Therapeutic Work:
    • Work therapeutically with service users presenting with complex presentations, utilising a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation:
    • Formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients' mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
  • Professional Responsibility:
    • Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care provided to service users.
  • Adherence to Standards:
    • Maintain high standards of care in all areas of practice in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines, and Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Staff Development and Training:
    • Facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and design and deliver training as requested.
  • Collaborative Working:
    • Engage in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) working, collaborating with colleagues to ensure holistic care for service users.
  • Continuous Professional Development:
    • Engage in continuous professional development, taking advantage of numerous career development opportunities and courses provided to enhance skills and knowledge.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold BPS recognized psychology degrees.
  • Maintain UK HCPC registration.
