Summary

Are you an experienced School HR Advisor looking for work in Nottingham?

Winner Education are seeking for a Senior HR Advisor to work with a school who provide independent special educational needs placements and are market leaders in alternative provision in the midlands area. This role is a full-time, permanent position to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate would have previous HR experience in educational settings, but this is not essential.

SALARY: £32,000

LOCATION: Mansfield, Nottingham

HOURS: Full time (Monday – Friday), 37.5 hours per week

START DATE: ASAP

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To support the HR Manager with the day-to-day management, proactive solution within the HR function and policy compliance.
• Responsible for the management and coordination of all employee relations including low level concerns.
• Work in conjunction with the R.E.A.L. Leadership Team as relevant.
• Expected to communicate directly with the People & Transformation Manager to provide updates in relation to all casework and any reportable activity across all of the functions.
• Hold line management responsibilities specifically for the HR Advisor and HR Administrator with responsibility of supervising the day-to-day HR function.
• Responsible to matrix manage junior staff members, to support their development and supervise completion of any delegated tasks including 1:1 meetings.
• Regulate and implement wellness figures and advise/deliver on proactive steps to sustain/improve data.
• Be the subject matter expert for disciplinary and grievance advice and guidance, maintaining documentation and records to meet ACAS codes of practice and employment law.
• Use networking skills to consult with the best in the field and support horizon scanning of future opportunities within the People sector.
• Develop/review process’ for transactional HR tasks.
• Support the development of a REAL brand strategy and assist the Senior Leadership Team to embed the REAL ethos across the whole company workforce.

The successful Senior HR Advisor must:

• Be flexible and innovative
• Have at least three years of previous HR experience
• Be computer literate and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google
• Show excellent working knowledge of employment law legislation
• Hold a CIPD Level 5 in Human Resources or similar equivalent qualification
• Hold a full UK driving licence due to traveling between sites may be required
• Hold key values and ethos of Trust, Innovation and Achievement
