Summary

Senior Programme Manager

Salary: 8b

Commitment; 1WTE

Base: North west based. Home based working with frequent travel to MFT and additional regional and national travel.

The NWGMSA has a diverse portfolio of regional activity and has a team developing and improving clinical pathways, a skilled workforce through engagement and training activities, leading regional genomic data and digital transformation with a strong community and patient engagement focus throughout.

The NWGMSA is leading the Pharmacogenomic and Medicines Optimisation Genomic Network of Excellence. This is a new, national scale collaborative aimed at building an evidence base for the implementation of pharmacogenomic testing in the NHS. The network will operate at scale and pace to identify opportunities in primary care through a national clinical trial, plus supporting evidence generation in other clinical settings, including cancer, community pharmacy and mental health. The Network is also responsible for generating evidence to support implementation of pharmacogenetics services, including informatics developments and health economic analysis. The Network will bring together national stakeholders to inform outputs and will serve as a platform for linking work in pharmacogenomics across England and internationally.

About you

You’ll need to be an experienced programme manager, with a track record of successful delivery and developing strategy and exemplary performance at senior management levels within a healthcare organisation.

We are looking for a fast starter, ideally you should have a background in pharmacogenomics, pharmacy, genetics or genomics and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of concepts, scientific language and terminology used within the field from the outset.

You’ll have demonstrated an ability to deliver on governance and carry a strong track record of leading multiple projects in parallel, leading and working closely with PMO staff.

We expect you to be innovative, creative, focused on achievement and committed to collaboration, and have demonstrated exemplary behaviour consistent with the Trust values. The role will require you to be hands on, actively involved in shaping and delivering all NWGMSA outputs.

A dedicated Project Management Office team supports the delivery of all GMSA outputs, and you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing this team.

This role will represent an important next step in your career. In return for your dedication, you will enjoy our commitment to support your ongoing personal and professional development.
