Role: ESOL Mentor/Trainer

Working hours: Full Time (37.5 hrs pw)

Location: Manchester, between M4 4EW and M16 0RP

Join us as an ESOL Mentor/Trainer! Your role would involve delivering diverse training courses to equip customers with essential skills for employment, training, or further education. You'll manage paperwork diligently, match candidates with suitable vacancies, and organise work placements. Conducting personalised sessions and meeting targets are key responsibilities.

As an ESOL Mentor/Trainer, you'll enhance language proficiency and functional independence in ESOL adults. Flexibility in location coverage is required.

What you’ll do

Deliver a variety of training and one to one support designed to prepare the customer for securing employment including via work placement/trial that will lead to employment
Be responsible for and aware of contractual job targets in relation to the number of customers we are contracted to have on our provision and the number of job starts and sustained jobs that are expected to achieve with your customers
Provide one to one support for our customers, job search sessions, exploring the local labour market and securing interviews with employers
Work with employers, training providers and other agencies to strengthen the service we provide to our customers, including booking them in to deliver a session on the course
Be prepared to work at other locations/contracts to share good practice and cover absence as necessary.
What you’ll need

Level 2 English and Maths as a minimum
Appropriate teaching qualification e.g., PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE
Experience of delivering training and/or teaching people of all ages (minimum of 1 – 2 years)
Experience in delivering training to adults where English isn’t their first language
Knowledge of Jobcentre Plus programmes and incentives for unemployed people
·Ability to deliver training to groups and individuals.

Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
