Summary

Business Development Manager

Salary: £40k dependent on skills and experience

Location: Hybrid/Remote/Office based in Sutton Coldfield (near to Sutton Coldfield train station)

Contract term: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Role responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
New business and revenue generation:

- Identify and pursue new clients and contracts/agreements in target sectors
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the
company’s customer base;

- Develop sales decks and marketing materials in collaboration with the team and
marketing;

- Build and manage existing client relationships to ensure repeat sales and
referrals;

- Meet quarterly and annual sales and revenue generation goals;

- Ensure that solutions meet the client’s expectations and are integrated fully with
Auriga teams;

- Work collaboratively across the Auriga business, all teams, stakeholders and
partners;

- Deliver exceptional client service;

- Exhibit and present at conferences;

- Provide clear pipeline information and sales reporting to Senior Management;

- Work collaboratively as part of the Client Solutions team, support joint projects and
provide assistance when required;

- Support with marketing plans and strategies, advertising, direct marketing and
campaigns as required;

- Support effective working relationships across the business and act as an
ambassador, advocating with external organisations;

- Keep up to date with developments in service delivery and best practice to ensure
the service performs effectively and to the highest standards;

- Travel, as necessary, to meet the above requirements;

Person Specification
Key Skills and Attributes (essential/desirable)

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field;

- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles;

- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;

- Previous experience of developing and delivering new business revenue in any of
the following sectors: Utilities – Water and / or energy, Local Authority, Charity /
Third Sector;

- Proven ability to navigate complex organisations to find decision makers and key
stake holders while creating strong relationships at every level;

- Ability to build effective working relationships and achieve agreed objectives
through strong negotiating and influencing capabilities and by working in
partnership with Auriga’s multi-functional teams;

- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent active listening
skills, with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences, -
including C-suite level;

- Self-motivated, with high energy with the ability to fit in well with a team;

- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ideally
knowledge of Hubspot or similar CRM systems;

- Empathy and compassion based on life skills with a genuine understanding of
vulnerable people in financial crisis or hardship;
