Person specification:

- They are looking for their next Senior Structural Engineer to have a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience.
- You could be Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE. You will have hands-on design experience and the ability to work on multiple projects at one time with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job responsibilities:

- In a nutshell, you’ll be working on a wide range of projects as a Senior Structural Engineer, and have the following experience:
- Concrete frame, steel frame, medium to high-rise design, and existing structures, working across sectors such as residential, commercial, refurbishment, and industrial.
- Using software to assist with calculations and structural design such as MasterSeries, Tekla, CSC Fastrak, or Strand7.
- You will be skilled at preparing, detailing, and reviewing drawings, supervising CAD Technicians in the preparation of these drawings.
- Assisting in the preparation of design quotes and writing reports.
- Supervising, mentoring, and checking work for Graduates, Engineers, and Technicians.
- You will be able to work collaboratively with engineers in other disciplines such as geotechnical and civil/infrastructure design.
- Attending client and project meetings to build relationships and discuss their needs, requirements, and any design issues.
