Leonard Cheshire is currently seeking a full-time Team Leader to join our team at Wharfedale House in the market town of Wetherby, West Yorkshire.

Wharfedale House provides a home for 18 adults with physical disabilities and is located at 16 Wharfedale Lawns, LS22 6PU.

The Team Leader role is a full-time position, requiring 42.5 hours per week, working night shifts from 08:00-20:30, as well as one shift doing either 08:00-14:30 or 14:00-20:30.

The hourly rate for this role is £13.57, with the potential to earn up to £15.57 per hour with enhancements. A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday-Sunday, and a weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

As a Team Leader with Leonard Cheshire, you will become an integral part of our fantastic team, providing effective supervision of a team of Support Workers. With passion and enthusiasm, you will lead by example, promoting positive outcomes for disabled individuals with a flexible and proactive approach.

In this role, you will ensure that our customers receive the highest quality care, personal support, and assistance with daily tasks. Embracing our Person-Centred approach, you will empower our customers to maximise their independence and achieve their individual aspirations.

To be successful in this role, you should ideally have a level of professional development and registration (NVQ/SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, L4 NVQ/SVQ) or be willing to work towards a relevant qualification. You should also possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, as well as experience in supervising a team. Previous experience working in a care setting is also required, along with flexibility to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota when necessary.
