Job Title: Alternative Provision Teacher - Food
Location: South West England, Devon, Torquay
Salary: £110 - £160 Per day
Qualifications: Degree, QTS (desirable)
- To start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the summer term
Job Description:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to students in alternative provision settings - NO PLANNING INVOLVED - PREFERABLY HAVE A DT FOOD/ HOME ECONOMICS BACKGROUND
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with behavioural challenges
- Develop individual learning plans and monitor progress of students
- Provide pastoral care and support to students to enhance their overall well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to create a positive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Degree
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - not essential
Experience:
- Experienced in teaching in alternative provision or special education settings
- Demonstrated ability to work with students with diverse learning needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a supportive and empowering learning environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties
Working Conditions:
- Typical working hours from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Classroom-based teaching with potential for off-site visits
- Regular interaction with students, parents, and external agencies
