Summary

Assistant Management Accountant

Helping to monitor our financial performance, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining the financial stability of an organisation that is at the heart of UK medical standards and practice.

Summary of the role and main responsibilities

Providing financial advice and support to one or more of our directorates. This will include preparing the annual budget, monthly management accounts, full year forecasts and supporting with investment appraisals.
You will monitor financial performance by reviewing variances and analyse trends, and you will support budget holders in maintaining spend in line with budget.
Actively supporting managers in developing business improvements, including investment opportunities and efficiency savings.
The role is hybrid with up to 1 day in the office alongside the wider finance team. This will be flexed as required to support a period of induction.

What are we looking for?

Someone with excellent interpersonal skills will thrive in this role. A focus on building relationships to support and influence budget owners in their decision-making capacity is essential for success.
You will have the ability to analyse and articulate key financial issues and demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts including accruals, prepayments and capital expenditure.
You will need a strong financial background and will hold, be actively studying towards or show a commitment to study for a recognised accounting qualification.
