Summary
Murray Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our client as a Senior Buyer based within West Lothian.
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, this role is dedicated to supporting major projects and ensuring the successful commercial delivery while mitigating commercial risks. By implementing rigorous procurement and commercial procedures, the objective is to ensure the sustained growth and prosperity of the business.
Responsibilities
Assist with procurement processes to support the successful delivery of projects.
Contribute to the execution of the full contract cycle.
Implement company procurement policies and processes.
Foster and maintain relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Assist in managing procurement and commercial risk.
Advising stakeholders on the role of procurement and supply.
Support the tendering process and interact with performance and compliance departments.
Contribute to the timely achievement of contract awards and departmental Key Performance Indicators.
Assist in the review process of tenders and contracts.
Provide timely production of purchasing and procurement information.
Developing supply chain management strategies for procurement and supply within the organisation.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Experience within a similar Procurement / Buyer position.
Knowledge of the construction, facilities, or property management industry advantageous although not essential.
Graduate or HND/HNC/CIPS Level 4 with relevant experience.
Commercially aware with knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract.
Proficient in IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Navision would be beneficial.
Awareness of legislation affecting procurement and commercial activities.
Offering
Salary £35k - £45K DOE
40 hours per week, flexible start and finish time
